Band 6 Night Radiographer
37.5 hours per week Fixed Term Contract for 9 months – 1 Post
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Radiographer with substantial experience in general radiography to join our friendly multi-disciplinary team working within Radiology at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The main duties include ensuring the provision a high quality responsive diagnostic radiographic service at night, including CT scanning, whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care.
The post holder will have responsibility for the organisation of staff and workflow at night, recognising the global needs of both the department and service provided. They will provide leadership, knowledge and guidance for the out of hours Radiology Team both at the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and Burnley General Teaching Hospital.
Applicants will be expected to use their own initiative and be capable of making decisions in unpredictable circumstances. Whilst ensuring the delivery of a high quality patient focussed service, the post holder will manage a team of Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and Radiographic Assistants.

A BSc in Radiography or the DCRR equivalent and HCPC full registration is essential for the post along with an outstanding knowledge of general radiography and proven leadership skills. CT training will be provided if required.
This is a demanding role where excellent technical expertise in all aspects is required to ensure the delivery of a high quality, efficient and professional service. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills with an ability to demonstrate commitment to the development of our services.
Candidates will be expected to participate in our 7 day working shift rota which includes working some Bank Holidays.
