An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Integrated Respiratory Service. 

The successful candidate will be working mainly on the Respiratory Assessment Unit in Royal Blackburn Hospital, assisting the specialist nurses to deliver quality care for patients attending hospital with acute respiratory problems.

We  have recently expanded the services we provide to  include endoscopic procedures including,  Bronchoscopies, EBUS and Thorocoscopies.

This post requires the ability to be able to provide flexible daytime shift working across 7 days.

There will also be developmental opportunities to participate in other elements of the Integrated Respiratory Service, such as Pulmonary Rehabilitation programmes and the Oxygen Service. There will also be opportunities to develop experience of the wider Respiratory Directorate. As the post holder may be required to attend domiciliary visits and community clinics covering a wide geographical area (East Lancashire) a car driver is essential.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a problem solving approach to their work and be flexible to work across the pathways of care within clinical settings of the Respiratory Service.

The service is committed to training and developing staff within their role and any required training will be provided.
