The Digestive Diseases Directorate is led by eight Consultant Gastroenterologists, and is a friendly, dynamic and forward looking unit. The consultant team are supported by a variety of Nurse Endoscopists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Specialist Nurses, in addition to four Specialty registrars and an Advanced Endoscopy Fellow.
We are the regional specialist referral centre for hepatobiliary services and are the only regional Trust to provide 24/7 Emergency ERCP On Call. Our department undertakes over 700 ERCPs/year and is a high volume centre.
Other specialist services we provide include:
- Endoscopic Ultrasound
- Bowel Cancer Screening
- Regional Hepatitis C Hub service
Endoscopy is delivered in state of the art, JAG accredited facilities across 3 sites
Applications are invited to the post of substantive Consultant Gastroenterologist (x2) to join our friendly and dynamic professional team. The postholder(s) will be expected to participate in specialist endoscopy work including ERCP, and to participate in specialist HPB and ERCP MDTs.
