At East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust our vision is to be widely recognised for providing safe, personal and effective care.  We currently provide high quality services and treat over 600,000 people across East Lancashire and the surrounding area. We employ over 7,000 staff, many of whom are internationally renowned and have won awards for their work.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for highly motivated, enthusiastic, dedicated radiographers to join our exceptional multi-disciplinary team working within Radiology at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

This is a demanding role where excellent technical expertise in all aspects is required to ensure the delivery of a high quality, efficient and professional service. The successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, performing radiographic examinations either single handed or as part of a team, whilst ensuring a high standard of radiographic technique and patient care is maintained at all times.

You will gain experience of working in a busy acute hospital in addition to working in our community hospitals where the pace may sometimes be slower but equally challenging.

Our staff are friendly, supportive and dedicated professionals who will make you feel very welcome. Our service is committed to encouraging staff to widen their scope of practice, with continuous professional development actively encouraged and supported by expert clinical leads.
The Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) in Radiography and HCPC registration is required, but posts are also open to 3rd year undergraduate student applicants expecting to qualify 2018.

Candidates will be expected to participate in our 7 day, 24 hour working shift rota which includes working some Bank Holidays.

At East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust we are currently undergoing exciting changes transitioning from CR to DR technology and have a clear vision to be the leading provider of imaging services across East Lancashire, delivering the highest standards and providing safe, personal and effective care to all our patients.
