We are looking to recruit a competent administrator to join our existing team.  Initially this is a twelve month post due to the current post holder taking a career break. You will form part of the Foundation Team who are responsible for the extensive administration processes involved with our junior doctors in training.  This will involve maintaining accurate records on existing databases which will involve recording and monitoring of assessments along with daily correspondence and enquiries both face to face, electronically and by phone relating to Foundation Training. Duties also include developing, implementing and managing existing office systems, dealing with correspondence and enquiries along with general clerical duties such as scanning and photocopying. Assisting speakers setting up rooms & presentations etc. is also a requirement of this role. You will also be required to work as part of a team who are responsible for the day to day running of the Medical & Dental Education Department which is based in the Learning Centre at The Royal Blackburn Hospital and at the MacKenzie Centre when required on the Burnley General Hospital site. You will possess RSA II typing/word processing or equivalent and have proven IT skills which must include Excel experience and have a substantial administration experience (usually two years).
