Main duties of the job
Due to recent service expansion and new commissioning, ELCAS (East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Services) is now providing specialist mental health services for young people up to the age of 18.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The service offers placements for trainees in core Psychiatry and General Practice; higher specialty trainees in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry; and students from a wide range of disciplines including nursing and clinical psychology. You will be expected to contribute to the overall training offered within the service and to outside agencies. There are good links with the Universities of Manchester, Liverpool and Central Lancashire.

The role involves travel between sites, so access to private transport for work purposes is essential. Much of the role is currently agile working due to COVID, so applicants will be required to work from home using remote IT platforms

Clinical
Essential criteria
- Professional Registeration - Nursing/OT/Psychology/Social Work or Accredited with a Health Related other Professional Body
- Experience of working in mental health in an MDT
- Ability to work autonomously with young people and families
- Access to private transport for work purposes
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with young people/young adults in a mental health setting
- Experience of working in an NHS setting
- Additional Therapeutic qualification
- Ability to work as part of a team

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
