We are looking for 3 suitably qualified and enthusiastic physiotherapists to join an established neuro/stroke rehabilitation rotation team.


The successful candidate will join a six person rotation providing therapy for patients with acquired brain injury , long term neurological conditions and stroke.

You will be part of  a team that covers in -patient neuro rehabilitation ward, located at Rakehead Rehabilitation Unit, neuro out patients and community neuro patients. You will also be part of the stroke pathway, which includes the acute stroke unit at Royal Blackburn Hospital and the  in-patient rehabilitation unit  at Pendle Community Hospital.


You will be required to take part in a 6 day Saturday and Bank Holiday  rota, plans to extend this to 7 days may occur in the future.

There are opportunities for you to develop your teaching skills and to take part in receiving and delivering supervision and in service training.


The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, innovative team and you will gain experience from working across the pathways.


You will be required to provide high quality therapeutic assessments and treatment plans and to contribute to the M.D.T.



The candidate should be able to demonstrate evidence based knowledge of neuro rehabilitation and be proficient in carrying out effective assessments and treatments and handing over to assistant practitioners where appropriate.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to caring for neurological patients and to be able to show a caring, professional attitude to patients and their carers.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
