Clinical Team Leader -

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical team leader to work within the District Nursing Service. The post holder will work in the Community Night Nursing Team and the Out of Hours District Nursing Hub working flexibly to attend day time meetings, engage in quality improvement, and enhance the 24 hour district nursing provision. You will be expected to deliver high standards of clinical leadership in a fast paced environment and will be responsible for leading the delivery of safe, personal and effective care in patient’s homes. We are looking for a dynamic leader who has a passion for community nursing and continuous service development. This is a part-time post but with unsocial hours’ enhancements is the equivalent of a full time post.

General Duties will include:

  • Strong and effective clinical leadership
  • Quality Assurance of Clinical Work
  • Education and supervision
  • Producing reports and data, including complaints and incident investigations
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Car driver /access to a vehicle insured for business use /car owner essential

 The successful candidate will need to be able to:

  • Work flexibly during the week to provide senior leadership during out of hours and nights, as well as a proportion of daytime working

An example of the working pattern for this post will be:

Week 1-3

  • 1 x 9.5 hour night shift per week (weekday) – all enhanced rate
  • 1 x 7.5 hour late shift (weekday) - enhanced rate for 5 hours
  • 2 x 5.5 hour day shifts (weekdays)

Week 4

  • 1 x 9.5 hour night shift per week (weekday) – all enhanced rate
  • 1 x 7.5 hour late shift (weekday) - enhanced rate for 5 hours
  • 1 x 7.5 hour day shift on a Saturday – all enhanced rate
  • 1 x 4.0 hour day shift (weekdays).

As this position is exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and involves work that is identified as a regulated activity as defined in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (2006), any offer of employment is provisional upon a satisfactory DBS check being obtained.

The cost of an Enhanced Disclosure will be £48.00, which includes a small handling fee.
