Do you enjoy working in a dynamic team?  The LPC Systems and e-commerce team based at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are looking for quick thinking, well organised and conscientious Procurement assistant who can work within a challenging and fast moving environment.

The role of the Procurement Assistant will be responsible for supporting the day to day order processing and queries relating to the Powergate ordering system. Once trained you will be required to train users on the ordering system .We are looking for a friendly and energetic individual who can work well under pressure.

The successful applicant must possess the ability to work unsupervised, be able to meet deadlines and deal with queries efficiently. Excellent communications skills are paramount, along with being particular in attention to detail. Previous experience in a Procurement role would be an advantage.

You should be a proven team player, have excellent communication skills and be adaptable to the changing needs of the Department. Computer literacy is a necessity and candidates must be fully conversant with Windows applications especially Word & Excel. Attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure are also essential components.

You must have the ability to work on own initiative, under pressure but also part of a team.  Knowledge of ordering, analysing and interpreting data and a proven ability in building relationships are also essential qualities

You will have the opportunity to work closely with all areas of the Trust to develop your skills and knowledge to the next level.
